Summary
Responsible for collecting and reviewing data regarding the nature of cancer patients' illnesses and the diagnostic procedures and treatments used to deal with them.
Maintain the data of patients who have been diagnosed with malignant tumors as well as benign or even questionable tumors.
Assign codes for diagnosing and treating various cancers.
Requirements
Three to five years? experience in an ACoS-approved hospital based cancer registry
Required Oncology skills: abstracting, case identification, AcoS survey preparation, at least one Cancer Registry software system, follow up
Knowledge of the Commission on Cancer Standards Vol. I and II
Knowledge of the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries Standards
Understanding of statistical analysis report generation and interpretation
