Job Description
Summary
Responsible for accurately abstracting and reporting data regarding the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
Completes case-finding/screening of patients, complete follow-up and treatment information on cancer patients.
Participation in CoC survey process.
Requirements
Active CTR credential.
At least 3 years of abstracting experience required, preferably in an ACoS/CoC accredited facility.
Required Oncology skills: abstracting, case identification, follow-up, ACoS/CoC survey preparation, at least one Cancer Registry software system.
Knowledge of the current Commission on Cancer (CoC) Program Standards.
Understanding of statistical analysis report generation and interpretation.
