CANISTER RESEARCH AND ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN Talyst

Responsible for the assembly of canisters relative to oral solid medication dispensing. Regularly ensure customer submitted orders are processed in a timely fashion for shipment to remote customer sites.
Develop and maintain appropriate bills of material for oral solid medication-dispensing canisters
Test the accuracy of canisters by verifying the successful dispensing of oral solids
Record test data results and recommended failure correction for each tested canister
Maintain the security levels of the access-restricted canister test area
Where necessary, design specific canister components to accommodate non-standard oral solids
Interact with and provide status to customers regarding canister orders, etc.
Transfer customer-submitted orders into spreadsheet import templates
Process, label and program (where applicable) canisters for subsequent customer delivery
Maintain a Microsoft Access canister database as required.
Repair and/or rebuild customer-returned canisters to original specification
Support and promote the Talyst values through positive interactions with both internal and external customers on a regular basis
Attend to other initiatives and goals as directed.
High School diploma required.
2 years experience in a light-manufacturing environment preferred or in a pharmacy setting (school or professional environment).
Proficiencies with standard business software applications (e.g., MS-Office, etc.)
Familiarity with the use of common hand tools
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to read engineering prints of simple to moderate complexity and follow assembly procedures
Familiarity with MS-Access a plus
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems a plus
Experience working in a goal oriented, delivery focused, and dynamic environment.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Must be able to lift 15lbs.comfortably
