Capacitor and Actuator/Haptics Device Engineer Strategic Polymer Sciences, Inc.

SPS is device development engineer to assist in the design, development and fabrication of electro-mechanical devices for actuator and haptic applications utilizing electro-active polymers. Responsibilities will also include the design and development of high energy polymer film capacitors, identification of new electro-active polymer opportunities and solutions and writing proposals to secure funding for new projects.

Qualifications:

Minimum BS in mechanical engineering, engineering science, acoustics or related discipline.

Three plus years of hands-on experience modeling, testing and developing actuator focused devices.

Good understanding of electrical properties and design of advanced capacitors.

Experience with haptic feedback device design highly preferred

Proficient computer skills

Highly motivated self-starter with can-do attitude and ability to solve complex problems.
