The Career Services Coordinator position supports the Career Services program with its development and presentation of white glove career services, resources and educational programs. Under the direction of the Director of Career Services, this position will:
Collaborate and plan with partner institution leaders and program stakeholders on delivering requested career services, resources and educational programs.
Conduct individual student career advising and support to address career needs and interests utilizing 2U technology for online students.
Develop and deliver best practices career resources, services and educational materials that will support students in their employment search and career development.
Learn and understand academic programs and their career preparation with students to assist them with desired career in their industry.
Assist the Director of Career Services and Vice President of PES Matrix to operationalize and deliver the programmatic needs of career services and support.
Present career educational sessions, workshops and webinars on the platform with synchronous and asynchronous components.
Conduct proactive outreach with students, in collaboration with partner institutions stakeholders, to promote career preparation and job search strategies.
Utilize existing social media websites, social media activity, micro-sites and other sites to support and promote career development.
Coordinate and conduct efforts, in collaboration with partner program leaders, to secure graduates? employment data and record in SalesForce.
Prepare and present graduate employment data to 2U Compliance Office, Partner institution leaders and other audiences.
Identify and post resources (YouTube, educational video clips, educational materials, best practices, etc.) that will support students in their employment search and career preparation.
Research industry data and information as needed from sources such as industry professional associations, government agencies, National Association of Colleges and Employers and other resources on employment and career opportunities.
Follow up with program graduates to secure data on career progression, employment data and how their program has prepared them for their careers.
Cultivate and establish industry relationships that will yield employment and placement opportunities for program student and graduates.
Attend professional association events to learn about the industry and its career opportunities for program graduates.
Perform other duties in support of the Career Services and PES Matrix programs as assigned.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor?s Degree required, Master?s degree preferred; degrees in Counseling or Higher Education preferred.
4-6 years of experience in career services, training & development, or higher education required.
Functional knowledge and experience in addressing career education and preparation process.
Experience working in a service-oriented, customer support or related field required.
Previous experience providing exceptional customer service in a collegiate or university environment is a strong plus.
Familiarity with online learning technology a plus.
Prior experience working in a for-profit, business driven environment is preferred.
Experience in developing and delivering professional presentations, workshops and educational sessions.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
