Job Description
ENA is currently seeking an experienced Carrier Relations Specialist to join our Carrier Management Group. The Carrier Relations Specialist is responsible for managing relationships for ENA with multiple carriers. Areas of responsibility include managing inbound customer inquiry submissions from Account Service Managers (ASMs) to develop strategic solutions to obtain new or upgraded business, working with internal engineering and operations teams to coordinate work and review solution options and reviewing current carrier spend to optimize against contract obligations, term and customer service requirements.
Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this job are to:
Working with ASM team to develop strategic solutions to deliver a variety of ENA services.
Documenting and tracking the end-to-end inquiry lifecycle.
Developing new and maintaining existing carrier relationships.
Following up and negotiating with vendors to obtain requested pricing and scheduling.
Providing timely updates back to inquiry submitters.
Confirming quotes with placed orders and obtaining carrier contracts.
Researching and implementing cost-savings initiatives, including managing carrier contract renewal.
Interfacing with the broader ENA team to provide and obtain relevant information as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
A minimum of three years of previous telecommunications / networking project management experience is required. In addition, qualified candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of telecommunications, networking and VoIP markets with a basic telecommunications and networking technical background. Prior carrier quoting and contract negotiation experience is preferred, as well as, direct telecommunications / networking vendor experience. A qualified candidate must demonstrate strong negotiation skills, excellent instinctive interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must possess sound business acumen as well as the ability to work well independently and as part of a dynamic team environment. Prior technical and customer problem resolutions experience is preferred as well as previous experience with Remedy Action Request System.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio is a plus.
