We are looking for a driven and energetic Carrier Sales Engineer to join the fast-growing RingCentral team. The Carrier Sales Engineer is a dynamic industry and technical expert, providing input to the prospecting, sales, and implementation processes. The RingCentral Sales Engineer assists account executives and sales teams, delivers product presentations, implementations, training programs, and account management.
You will become the resident expert on RingCentral services and applications with strong working knowledge of our hosted VoIP platform, product features, and IP hardware. The ability to assist new customers through the setup process, resolve technical issues and provide expert insight will be critical. You will also develop skills as a technical consultant, a product advocate, and customer success champion.
The Carrier Sales Engineer will be responsible for Pre-Sales support for our carrier partner and assist with sales and product demos, RFPs, implementations, account management, and technical escalations.
The candidate can be located anywhere on the West coast. However, ideally, we would like the person to be in Southern California, Arizona or Denver.
Provide account management to larger, high-profile customers
Provide onsite implementations and demos when needed
Present advanced technical concepts through demonstrations, product overviews, and sales presentations
Develop advanced system configurations and implementations in response to customer needs and requirements
Develop and maintain expert understanding of all RingCentral applications and products
Deliver sales and training programs to prospective and existing clients
Develop relationships with customers, sales and support teams, become a product and customer advocate, and provide world class technical support
Participate in the creation of training materials, technical documents, and product feedback
Representation at sales trainings, conferences and partner sales events as needed
Travel will be required, 50 to 75%
7+ years of SE/technical support experience in telecom industry
Proven experience in technology space, previous cloud, PBX, or telephony experience required
Proven experience with VoIP, SIP, or telecom as an admin, engineer, or technical support role is required
Advanced understanding of networking protocols, standards, and hardware such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewalls and router configurations
?Relevant industry training and/or certifications including but not limited to Network+, CCNA, CCNP
Vibrant and energetic attitude, willingness to perform and get things done
Ability to excel in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Bachelor?s degree in C.S. or a combination of education and relevant experience
?Ability to identify different technologies and provide solutions as it relates to RingCentral VoIP service
Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, and network connectivity problems in multi-platform, multi-protocol environments in installation of RingCentral VoIP service
Excellent consulting selling acumen
Excellent customer service orientation, face-to-face and phone support to remote users
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others
