The Position:
ICG Commerce is seeking a Category Manager with sourcing and supplier management experience to help customers drive tangible results. In this capacity, you will work directly with an ICG Commerce customer with responsibility for delivering category management services including, but not limited to, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement. Specifically, you will:
- Design and implement cost savings projects across multiple MRO sub-categories including Comm/Data, Electrical/Electronics, PTB, PVF, General Industrial, Cutting Tools, Abrasives, Safety, Pumps/Hydraulics, Material Handling, Welding, Fasteners, Filters/HVAC, and Instrumentation.
- Engage with customers senior management team members to drive and communicate progress.
- Measure and manage suppliers (aka providers, agencies, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels.
- Identify and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market research and conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies.
- Coach and develop team members in their performance and professional development.

Job Requirements :
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related discipline, MBA preferred
- Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts
- Knowledge of multiple MRO categories including Comm/Data, Electrical/Electronics, PTB, PVF, General Industrial, Cutting Tools, Abrasives, Safety, Pumps/Hydraulics, Material Handling, Welding, Fasteners, Filters/HVAC, and Instrumentation (highly desired)
- Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsFormal training and/or experience in strategic sourcing
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
