Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of operations in the assembly of disposable medical devices, including thermal welding, adhesive bonding, and plastic cutting and forming.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing and inspection procedures, as well as specification drawings.
Responsible for quality and adheres to manufacturing process requirements and InfraReDx quality system policies and procedures.
Identifies and communicates quality issues and concerns
Act as a role model to others while demonstrating optimum proficiency.
Demonstrates, promotes and suggests ideas for Lean Manufacturing and related principles. Takes an active leadership role in implementing and driving Lean activities
Ability to operate manufacturing and/or inspection equipment per procedures.
Inspects parts using basic gauges, such as gage pins, laser micrometer, calipers and drop indicators.
Maintains manufacturing equipment per machine maintenance schedules.
Responsible for housekeeping within functional area or as assigned by Supervisor.
Assist engineers with process development activities such as prototype or test sample assembly, data collection and entry, and constructive process feedback.
Demonstrates proficiency in all communication, including written and spoken, as well as strong math skills.
Maintains accurate records, including device history records on manufacturing floor and training records. Consistently ensures the team is maintaining records accurately.
Acts as trainer for new processes.
Required Skills
2-5 years medical device assembly experience
Must have clean room experience.
Must have experience with data entry in corporate Material Requirements Planning (MRP)applications.
Must have experience in achieving production goals such as yield, efficiency, and throughput goals
Must have experience working in a GMP and/or ISO manufacturing environment.
Must have computer experience.
Able to read and write English and have basic math skills.
Must be mechanically adept.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Must have blueprint reading skills to determine critical dimensions and tolerances.
