Engineering Cementing Group
Summary: Manages all activities related to cementing group engineering and laboratory operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers and/or supervisors.

Provides cementing job design, well support, and post job analysis to customers in designated area.
May provide technical support on location as required by the customer.
Functions as an effective communications link between customer and the cementing group.
Develop and maintain Laboratory and Field Engineering budget and headcount forecasts to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and operations costs.
Establishes operations and quality control standards for the laboratory along with budget and cost controls.
Design software to obtain and document data regarding cement blend designs and real time field evaluations.
Provides guidance to the development of the cementing group process plan, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Performs activities associated with the effective management of the cementing group operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving cementing group data for reports for areas of responsibility.
Determines the responsibilities of assigned staff positions to accomplish laboratory and engineering objectives.
Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
As necessary conducts laboratory tests, or other equipment to execute required tasks.
As necessary repairs, calibrates and provides general maintenance on tools and equipment.

Experience and Skills:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages from one (1) to two (2) employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these subordinates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university (Masters degree MA or MBA helpful but not required): or six (6) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference and algebraic formulas. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
