THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Position Overview:
To perform the daily responsibilities of customer transportation dispatch at the customers direction at a customer?s site.
Essential Functions: Utilizing the BestTransport TMS Suite
Under minimal supervision, follow established processes and procedures to provide support and resolve inquiries from Customers, Carriers & Suppliers via telephone, email, and fax.
Perform customer load tendering to carriers as needed.
Manage & schedule dock appointments for carrier pickup.
Pickup confirmation and proactive exception management and communication.
Delivery confirmation proactive exception management and communication.
Monitor Systematic freight payment processes and dispute for resolution.
Perform customer load building as needed.
Insurance and Safety monitoring and communication.
Complete Daily reporting of dispatch activities.
Act as a liaison between management, customers, carriers, etc. to ensure that requirements are met and exceeded.
Provide the highest level of service to both internal and external customers.
Perform other cross functional activities as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
3-5 years prior transportation dispatch and transportation management software experience preferred.
Must be detail-oriented with the ability to document processes, research and resolve issues.
Strong problem solving, technical and Customer Service skills.
Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
Demonstrated technological and PC aptitude including the use of Microsoft office applications.
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment dealing with critical time sensitive pickup and delivery.
