General Description:The Central Provisioning Engineer is responsible for supporting the Peak 10 markets with the implementation of services offered by Peak 10. The Central Provisioning Engineer will be hands-on in the technical provisioning of various Peak 10 virtual and network service offerings. In addition, the Central Provisioning Engineer will play a crucial role in the quality assurance of provisioning contracts, change orders and renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
?Configure and Manipulate Virtual Machines (VMs)
?Audit VM Customers?Enforce quality assurance on task flows
?Configure IPs
?Configure ports, vLans and public IP space for clients
?Review provisioning and installation tasks to insure accuracy and completion
?Represent Peak 10 in a courteous and professional manner
?Work with Managed Services Provisioning Coordinator on continuous improvement to task flows and process improvement to better the overall customer experience
?Other special projects as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Strong background and experience with various server, application, and network technologies including
:- VMWare and vSphere
- VLAN?s, ACL?s, IP subnets
- Cisco iOS
- MS Excel
Excellent people and proactive communication skills
Strong attention to detail, and a capacity to follow procedures
Very strong customer service skills, aggressive trouble shooting skills, and strong decision making is critical to this position
Education, Experience, Training:
High school diploma or equivalent (4 year college degree is preferred)
Experience in customer service environment is preferred
Experience supporting a technical product
