| Parallel processing is becoming increasingly necessary as processor clock rates can no longer be increased while software applications keep demanding higher performance. ThroughPuter enables dynamically optimized parallel processing both at inter and intra application levels: The platform automates both dynamic optimization of parallel processing capacity allocation among a set of client programs sharing a given capacity pool, as well as handles the low-level parallel execution routines such as switching active tasks of the client programs for their execution cores and inter-task communication for the client programs. ThroughPuter PaaS thereby is designed to provide the application developers with an optimal performance and cost-efficiency gain from parallel processing, compared to the investment and effort required by the application developers to achieve such gains. |

| Description: |
Key responsibilities specific to the position -- in addition to regular startup CEO/co-founder job functions: - Lead seed VC fund raising together with co-founders, to enable realizing a proof-of-concept prototype of the parallel computing PaaS; - Together with marketing and business development team, involve beta customer prospects in defining the parallel computing PaaS beta release; - Lead the effort to build team of key technology contributors, to develop the parallel processing core of the PaaS; - Champion, along with technology leadership, open-source collaboration with other popular open-source PaaS, parallel programming language/framework projects etc., to complement the commercial PaaS solution with the non-parallel-execution related aspects of the platform. Requirements: - Experience in building successful venture funded technology companies; - Familiarity with the popular parallel programming challenge; - Significant industry experience in one or more of the following markets: high performance computing, cloud computing, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, parallel computing tools, middleware and/or manycore hardware. - Suitable educational background, e.g. degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, and/or business administration. |
