CEO of Ecosystem and Platform / Sr. Director of Product Management Jive Software
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The CEO of Ecosystem and Platform leads Jive's Platform business. This individual will have responsibility for defining product and integration strategy; working with engineering and external partners to deliver platform capabilities; and partnering with marketing to define and execute the go to market strategy.
The candidate will leverage his/her technical, analytical, process and strategic skills towards executing high impact opportunities that will drive the next phase of growth for Jive. The role requires an individual with strong technical and leadership skills who can create and evangelize a transformative vision for Jive's Ecosystem direction; collaborate with and drive a strong team of innovators and engineers to build groundbreaking products; help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers, prospects and partners; and nurture a vibrant ecosystem to deliver products that are optimized for the Jive platform. This role works closely with the Jive executive leadership team, including engineering, professional services, channel development, hosting, sales and marketing.
The role requires an individual with strong entrepreneurial, analytical, leadership, implementation, and partnering skills. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture, see-around-the-bend vision; and the passion plus drive, influencing skills and ability to collaborate with R&D and QA to transform that vision into a reality. He/she must also enjoy spending time working closely with our partners, customers, and developers to understand emerging needs around the Jive Platform, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
Product and Thought Leadership
Work with partners and developers, distill market trends and customer requirements into a compelling vision for the Jive Platform
Create product plans to translate this vision into reality. Lead the organization through the entire product development cycle, from initial definition to GA, with product delivered on schedule, on budget with high quality. Drive excellent execution and collaboration with the VPs of Engineering and their teams.
Partner with marketing to define the overall marketing strategy for the Platform, including technical enablement, analyst relations, and to project-manage product launches.
Lead strategy and roadmap for Jive's APIs and extension points.
Act as a company spokesperson for product line in front of press, industry analysts, partners, and customers
Identify new market opportunities for the Jive Platform. Champion strategic initiatives to capture new market opportunities.
Drive understanding of market size and potential, and customer buying behavior. Translate these market trends into a compelling product vision and direction.
Define the KPIs for business performance (revenue, market share, number of customers etc). Track business performance, identify levers for improving KPIs, and champion necessary initiatives to improve KPIs.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Total of 10 plus years in technology with at least 3 years of experience in product management and /or product marketing
Should have enterprise architecture, integration and platform API experience
Experience with Facebook, OpenGraph, and OpenSocial
Possesses an outstanding track record of success in delivering disruptive new products in a new category
Keen awareness of technology trends and potential influence on Jive?s business
Familiarity with enterprise systems, SaaS platforms and social technology
Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills
References as a credible business partner with existing and/ or previous sales organizations
Strong teaming skills and experience to bring together diverse views
Proven track record of leading activities related to establishing and growing a business
BA/BS required, in Computer Science or related technical degree preferred, MBA desirable
