The Practice Director (PD) is the business manager accountable for the financial performance of their vertical; those responsibilities extend from the development of the budget to their practice?s overall results. The PD is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and developing packaged solutions and offerings to react to their changing market. Lastly, the PD is obligated to create and sustain a virtual team environment in which the highest quality consultants can be satisfied and successful.

Qualifications
Minimum eight years of healthcare implementation and consulting combined experience.
Minimum of four years of sales support, account management, and client management experience.
Minimum of four years of management experience, specifically at a manager or director level within a healthcare, consulting or vendor organization.
Possesses understanding of business acumen related to financial statements
Ability to travel as required to client sites and other company-sponsored events
Financial Focus
Prepare revenue, direct profit and utilization budgets on an annual basis with monthly performance reviews, reconciliation, and justification as needed
Analyze and understand all business metrics including but not limited to actual rates, utilization and headcount by employee type
Constantly consider changing marketplace to identify future growth opportunities or necessary course corrections
Sales / Marketing / Business Development Focus
Schedule all client-related meetings and activities in CRM and update upon completion
Provide trip reports for client meetings/activities and post to CRM
Actively support sales initiatives and provide a regular summary of any hot pipeline opportunities/issues
Assist with and perform business development activities, analysis and special projects, e.g. RFP and RFI responses
Responsible for the development and completion of all Marketing Collateral related to respective practice services and operations
Participate in Client Interviews and provide direct feedback to the consultant following each interview
Participate in Internal/External Kick off Meetings
Administer and send New Project Announcements and Extension Project Announcements
Negotiation business relationships and pay rates with subcontractors
Collaborate in developing growth and profitability strategies for the organization
Edit and approve marketing collateral to support sales goals
Operational Focus
Manage all partner and subcontractor relationships
Provide support to Resource Manager (s) with their role and responsibilities
Supply professional development guidance to and growth opportunities for Resource Managers
Conduct and perform Consultant interviews, make hiring decisions, and assist with the new hire process
Plan and conduct monthly team calls; prepare agenda, schedule time, and ensure team participation.
Approve consultant promotion applications within career management guidelines
Coordination and execution of engagement extensions and appropriate bench management
Communication Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with client executives, up to the VP and CIO levels
Excel in presenting complex information and data in simple terms
Demonstrate sound negotiating skills
Deliver verbal and written communications across various styles and different client cultures
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Conduct customer conferences and assist sales with their communications
Communicate project status on a regular basis to management and maintain a repository of project documentation
Provide project level coaching to team members to achieve a higher level of performance on assigned tasks and/or executing group objectives based on senior management directives
Represent VCS in management meetings. May be required to present our direction and philosophies to customers
Develop, coordinate and conduct conferences, seminars, and meetings as assigned
