We are currently seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant, day hours, in our Sartell, MN location. Position will greet and room patients, support the physician with daily functions of a successful pain care operation, including obtaining past medical information, effective communication with patient during discharge and follow-up, and timely documentation of patient information and appointment details. In addition, will provide general administrative support to the team including maintaining department supplies and assist with patient care coordination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by
?Greets and rooms patients including taking vitals
?Independently assists physician with all patient care, including while in the room and with follow-ups
?Enters patient past medical information and orders into RIS, find previous medical records and schedule appointments up follow up clinic
?Monitors the clinic schedule, assist with managing add on appointments as well as follow appointments
?Coordinates & facilitates patient flow with scheduling and front office to fit in schedule add-ons
?Discharges the patient from the clinic with appropriate information and documentation
?Calls or faxes in prescriptions
?Contacts patients via telephone following up on patients that had pain management or narcotics to see if additional treatment is needed or another follow up visit
?Documents all patient prep calls in RISLogic or aRies
?Assembles next day?s H&P paperwork daily at assigned location
?Handles all incoming calls from patients regarding past procedures or treatments with the guidance of the supervisor
?Communicates directly with physician regarding patient medications and possible contra-indications
?Maintains office supplies within department, stock room and clean exam room etc
?Communicates with supervisor regarding individual work schedule and completion of tasks
?May be responsible for starting IVs and assisting in oral sedation
?Performs other duties as assigned

?Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
?Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
?High school degree or equivalent
?Certification from American Association of Medical Assistants
?Previous medical office experience and familiarity with radiologic procedures and medications
?Microsoft Office experience
?Data entry experience
?Ability to type 30 wpm
