This is a hands-on business development position working in a collaborative, team-based sales environment. This role develops new business and manages accounts in China to ensure successful, high-volume sales of Impinj's RFID products.
Note: This position is manager-level, individual contributor position. As business develops in China, there will be an opportunity to grow a team. There will be support from both local and U.S.-based resources, including marketing, field applications, engineering, sales, and executive leadership support. Local resources will primarily consist of Field Applications Engineers as currently planned.
- Develop channel strategies, plans, forecasts, and objectives to meet market and customer needs and maximize revenue and profitability of RFID Products business.
- Identify key target channel customers and work closely with them to articulate the benefits and technological advantages of Impinj's RFID products and generate design wins and revenue.
- Manage channel partner relationships to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and account development with key accounts.
- Track and manage commitments to channel partners.
- Maintain channel partner information, contact and history database.
- Provide channel partners technical and logistical support as needed.
- Represent Impinj at trade shows.
Skills/Requirements
- Related technical degree and 3+ years of Channel business development and sales experience in enterprise/middleware software, enterprise data collection, or closely related technology sales role.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results in the field while maintaining strong communication with corporate-based employees.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with non-technical customers and convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Written and spoken fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout China with occasional visits to our U.S. headquarters.
- Current residence in Shanghai, China.
