Channel Development Manager Avalara

Avalara is looking for an experienced Channel Development Manger to join the Irvine, CA, office and focus on acquiring new Named Leads from Channel Partners by sponsoring webinars, internal sales and technical training, providing newsletter content, building a trusting relationship, attending user groups and visiting partners.
It is the responsibility of the Channel Development Manager to ensure partners have the appropriate knowledge of and training in Avalaras product offerings and to ensure any new product launches, updates, process changes, or similar, are communicated timely and effectively.
Establish and manage trusted advisor level relationships with existing channel partners in order to create new opportunities for these partners and Avalara
Create and maintain new channel partnerships for Avalaras ERP channel partner program
Collaborate with the Avalara Partner Development Manager on selling to new business account
Provide product education and training for ERP Channel Partners & clients through webinars, demonstrations regarding our product offerings Conduct pre-sales demonstrations and process testing
Travel to various Reselling Channel Partner offices and occasionally to visit key clients offices
Generate new Avalara opportunities
Experience and Skills:
BS or BA degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
Familiar with a Software Reselling Channel and working with Reselling Partners
Experience with Software Sales including ERP, Accounting, CRM, and Software-as-a-Service/Cloud Computing Business Applications
Channel Partner experience is not required, but preferred
Marketing experience is not required, but preferred
Travel required approx. 8 days/month, across the US
