facility. Tioga purchases, installs and maintains solar power systems on its client?s rooftops or property, and sells the electricity
the systems generate to its clients at long-term guaranteed rates through Power Purchase Agreements, or PPAs. PPAs have
become the leading way in which commercial-scale solar power systems are deployed in the United States.
Position Summary
Tioga Energy is looking for a smart, energetic, and resourceful channel sales account representative to support specific channel
partners as member of our channel sales team. Candidates will be highly motivated individuals who can thrive in a dynamic,
high growth, start-up environment and industry. Channel sales will be a primary engine of growth for Tioga Energy, and this
position offers a great opportunity for professional growth for the right individual. The channel sales account representative
will work with channel partners such as solar electric systems integrators and electrical, roofing, and energy-efficiency
contracting firms to promote the sales of Tioga Energy?s solar PPA. This position reports to the Channel Sales Manager.
Job Responsibilities
? Serve as the key point of contact for multiple channel partner accounts.
? Establish, develop and manage relationships with channel partners, including contractors, solar integrators, and
manufacturers
? Improve positioning and strengthen overall relationships with existing partners
? Review, filter and track new commercial sales opportunities.
? Visit Channel Partners? locations on a regular basis and update sales, marketing, training and technical collateral
? Define and execute channel partner sales plans and continually drive to close sales through channel partners.
? Maintain customer and lead records within SalesForce.com and prepare sales reports and forecasts as required
? Identify and support training needs and provide market information and business guidance
? Work with Channel Sales Manager, Marketing Department, and channel partners to develop and implement
appropriate co-marketing activities, and promote channel partner participation in Tioga Energy?s lead generation
efforts
? Monitor financial performance of channel partners - credit, payment, etc. Seek to resolve problems when they arise.
? Advocate for channel partners internally. Spearhead resolution of customer issues
? Support the improvement of the channel partner program by identifying unmet channel partner support needs and
communicating with management
? Provide feedback to management on competition, pricing, product issues and other relevant market conditions
Specific Skills and Experience Sought
? Experience servicing and growing account relationships in a channel sales environment
? Familiarity with solar electric, on-site energy generation, and/or energy efficiency technology and economics
? Knowledge and experience in solar industry or conventional building trades (electrical, roofing, HVAC)
? Mastery of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
? Experience with a start-up in a new industry preferable
Requirements
? A bachelor?s degree in a relevant discipline, such as business, marketing and/or finance
? Minimum 5 years? experience in sales field, with at least 2 years in channel account sales activities
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Must be passionate about the renewable energy space
? Travel required
