Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue quota assignments for channel partner accounts within a specified territory. This includes forecasting to Manager, N.A. Channels and VP of Sales.
Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Silver Peak products and technologies, competitive products and industry trends. Develop in-territory partners by assisting with certification requirements and sales and product training.
Have a clear understanding of partner?s business model, goals and requirements, and position Silver Peak?s solutions to meet the needs of their target customers. Promote sales with Partners. Manage and train sales reps as required.
Develop and expand relationships with current partners and recruit new partners (and new partner reps) in assigned territory.
Implement and manage Silver Peak channel sales strategy in assigned region. Ensure that channel partner plans are generated and updated at least quarterly. Plans must include a clear articulation of channel partner?s strategy to establish Silver Peak as a strategic solution with their target accounts.
Pro-actively interface with prospects and partners on a daily basis to provide assistance and support the closure of revenue opportunities
Participate in trade shows and make presentations to partners and user groups, as required.
Coordinate and communicate with regional sales team on partner strategy and goals for the region.
Drive issues to resolution with appropriate channel partner functional departments.
Ability to help develop and implement channel programs and promotions as well as provide on-going constructive feedback regarding their effectiveness.
Satisfy internal reporting requirements by submitting reports and records in accordance with company policies and practices.
Travel 50% of the time
Focus on Global Strategic Partners (Dell, EMC, NetApp, HDS)
Understand key partner products and solutions + Silver Peak value add to these solutions and how Silver Peak drives incremental Strategic Partner revenues
Support joint demand generation activities
Enable joint end-user sales engagement ? directly and/or with regional Silver Peak RSM. Assist in account mapping between SP RSM and Strategic Partner.
Assist with Deal registration and sales opportunity qualification
Assist Strategic Partner in ordering processes
Facilitate the involvement of the appropriate pre-sales personnel to assist in quoting and solution configuration
Assist RSMs and Strategic Partner in periodic pipeline review
Four year degree required ? business, marketing or IT preferred.
Experience in selling business to business, 5 years of related experience in a high tech company preferably within two tier model.
Proven experience in two or more of the following markets: Computer Hardware Systems, Systems Software, Networking & Communications, and Data Storage / Storage Management Systems.
Strong prospecting, phone and communication skills mandatory. Skills in time management and organization.
Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.
A passion for winning, a strong aptitude for business strategy, excellent collaboration skills with a wide variety of internal team members, self-starter, self-confident individual with integrity and accountability, highly motivated, competitive, entrepreneurial and attracted to a challenging opportunity.
Strong presentation skills with executive-facing composure, and the ability to hold the interest of a technical or non-technical audience.
Need a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment where strong organizational skills are essential and have strong problem solving, interpersonal and ownership skills, along with strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
