Channel Sales Manager (CSM) -- Mid-West ScaleMP

The CSM works with ScaleMP?s channels (mostly Tier-1 Server OEMs: Dell, HP, IBM) to provide sales assistance and guidance. Measured ?on quota performance, the CSM drives revenues by using different techniques and tactics, ?including: channel training, networking and prospecting within the channel, direct ?communication with the end users, etc.
The CSM will build on his/her knowledge of the HPC (High Performance Computing) market ?and experience in HPC sales or sales-engineering, and on their intimate knowledge in how IT-?sales channels operate.
Key Responsibilities:
Expand an existing network of contacts within existing channels
Prospect for HPC opportunities with channel contacts
Recruit new HPC channel partners
Prospect for deals within the HPC domain end-users
Interact with HPC end users and maintain good visibility into potential deals
Train channel personnel on qualifying opportunities, the components and value of the ?relevant combined offerings
Assist the channel in developing pipeline of qualified opportunities
Develop and manage an overall pipeline of channel opportunities with different reseller ?partners
Assist channel sales personnel in driving opportunities to closure while maintaining the fine ?balance of opportunity control
Be familiar with partners compute and storage products and solutions to be able to ?effectively assist in architecting overall solutions to common use cases
Coordinate resources across supply chain to create effective teamwork which will lead to ?shorter sales cycles and better close ratios
Meet or exceed quota targets by leveraging channels? sales power
Job Requirements:
MANDATORY: 2+ years of experience in HPC sales, OR, 2+ years selling server hardware
5+ years of experience in sales or channel sales in the IT industry, carrying quota?
1+ years of customer-facing technical experience (Sales Engineer, Solution Consultant/Specialist, IT Consultant, etc.)?
Experience working with sales-force automation / CRM software for sales reporting and ?tracking
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills, relationship building and communication skills, and ability to ?multi-task.
Self-starter, track record in registering sales in a resource-constrained organization or startup ?companies
Other
Some travel expected (no more than a few days per month).
Must have a well-equipped home-office environment
