Position Summary
The Channel Sales Manager will recruit, enable, and manage partners (incl. System Integrators, Value-added resellers) for India and will manage the sales pipeline for opportunities for the entire region. These sales opportunities will consist of partner deals AND direct embedded (ISV/OEM) deals.
Essential Functions
- Develop strategy for indirect/channel sales model in India
- Recruit reseller and distributor partners for major markets
- Manage sales pipeline providing timely and accurate bookings forecasts
- Develop and execute partner enablement and demand generation plans
- Manage existing partner relationships for India
Job Requirements
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be self-driven to work with minimal direction
- Strong presentation skills; versatility in presenting technical concepts to audiences with mixed levels of understanding
- Must be very organized and proactive
- Experience in channel development and management in India
- 50% travel required
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in Business Intelligence or closely related field strongly preferred
- Knowledge of open source software (Community and commercial)
- 5-7 years experience in enterprise software sales
- Bachelors or Master degree or equivalent work experience
Must be legally authorized to work in India
