Channel Sales Manager, Northwest Suniva
The position will report into the Director of Channels, and the core attributes of the individual will require high motivation, organizational skills and willingness to go the extra mile to serve our internal customers and external partners.
We will not relocate. Accepting candidates from entire Northwest, US region. You will work from satellite office in your city. Ideal office will be from, but not limited to, locations such as Denver and San Francisco.
The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for developing, generating, and facilitating sales thru Suniva channel partners. Duties include leading an aggressive build-up of Suniva?s market share by expanding business partnerships, developing new relationships, and entering new markets. This role will focus on supporting Suniva channels partners, including but not limited to multi-tier distribution partners.
The individual must be able to articulate the Suniva?s message and positioning to help partner sales reps identify opportunities for Suniva. In addition, having the ability to multi-task, drive momentum and effectively manage reporting of channel initiatives in partner opportunity creation and data collection, will all be important components of the role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enhances, builds, and manages the company?s sales operations in the specified territory or specified accounts, including setting future strategic sales direction.
Prepares accurate forecasts, manages the ordering and fulfillment processes between Suniva and the channel partner.
Initiates and implements strategic alliances with key partners and customers.
Identifies market opportunities both within and outside of traditional client base, and develops strategies to penetrate those markets.
Participates in trade shows and conferences.
Provides outstanding customer support.
Other duties as may be required or assigned.
Bachelor?s degree in is required
At least five years of experience in a sales role preferably managing sales channels
Solar industry experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Solid knowledge of strategic selling principles and key account management are required.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills are required.
Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is strongly preferred.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are required.
Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
Ability to work well independently.
The work environment is a standard home office environment and travel as required.
Requires a flexible schedule, as evening or weekend work may be required.
A valid driver?s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
This position will require periodic domestic and international (possible) travel up to 50%
