Channel Sales Manager
This is a critical position as Solera Networks moves to expand its reach into US and International markets via VAR/Distribution Channel strategy from development, refinement, and execution. Focus will initially be on the US commercial and Federal markets with expansion in international market to follow. This individual will be reporting to the Solera Networks Vice President of Sales.
The successful candidate will be adept at building and managing a sustainable reseller base. This will include developing a reseller recruitment identification and qualification process, performing executive level visits, training sales and SE resources, driving co-marketing plans, and developing incentives to incrementally grow Solera Networks business. Channel pipeline management will be critical to ensuring success in tracking and measurement.
In addition, this position will drive and lead joint partner marketing events, such as trade shows, seminars and other campaigns that support lead generation in target markets.
Depending on the individual's background and past success, responsibility may include Solera Network's strategic partnership and eco-system management.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects Solera Networks VAR channel program including identification/recruitment, contract, sales and technical enablement, registration process, and promotions
Develop recruitment process to drive new and existing resellers to build Solera Networks opportunity pipeline
Execute developed program and process directly with reseller targets
Work with reseller sales personnel directly to identify new end-?user opportunity for Solera Networks
Regularly travel and visit resellers while performing executive level meeting trainings and joint-sales calls
Successfully manage and coordinate sales activities with Solera Networks inside and field sales personnel
Track reseller generated opportunity and pipeline development on regular basis; forecast and report accurately
Develop VAR quarterly marketing plans in conjunction with reseller execs to drive revenue
Required Skills:
BA/BS from 4 year college or university
10 + years of successful channel and direct sales experience; emphasis on channel, international and domestic
Former Manager level responsibility at networking or network security company
Proven ability to independently articulate and drive new and leading edge technologies to channel adoption
A team player capable of managing multiple resources to win opportunity
Outstanding communication and time management skills
Proven ability to successfully negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize company profits
Solid understanding of domestic commercial, federal, and international reseller opportunity
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently to drive success
