Channel/Strategic Partner Marketing Manager Solera Networks

We are looking for a dynamic marketing professional with proven experience who will be responsible for the development of Solera Networks channel and technology partner marketing campaigns, programs, and deliverables, along with effective execution of all program elements. This role requires a highly self-motivated individual who can quickly become familiar with a wide range of concepts, market trends and effective demand-generation techniques in the high-tech, enterprise security software market.
This person will be responsible for building creative marketing campaigns that deliver tangible sales results through multiple sales channels. The primary goal of this marketing manager is to generate leads and build pipeline through targeted, joint partner activities, including: online and email activities, partner promotions/incentives, city-to-city tours, local events, partner webinars, educational workshops, and other face-to-face activities.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities to ensure Solera Networks success include:
Work closely with the Director of Marketing, Director of Channel Sales and the VP of Business Development to ensure marketing alignment between Solera Networks and both channel and strategic business partners
Develop, execute and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote Solera Networks products through partners, both Value Added Resellers (VARs) and strategic partners
Create / drive partner demand generation programs
Be the primary point of contact for marketing communication with partners regarding programs
Manage the marketing budget for Solera Networks partner programs
Execute programs to assess the sales impact of the solutions in the marketplace and the overall success of the partnership or strategic alliance
Develop joint marketing collateral and sales tools (product briefs, brochures, competitive kill sheets, joint customer success stories and references, partner use cases, etc.)
Work with internal and external design resources to deliver finished, approved partner marketing material
Ensure pipeline growth for Solera Networks and partner sales team within target markets
Communicate plans to key marketing and sales stakeholders
Required Skills/Knowledge
5+ years experience in campaign marketing, product marketing, and/or field marketing for high technology products (Security products a plus)
College Degree (BS/BA) required
Strong B2B marketing and analytical skills
Experience in channels marketing and/or channels sales
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Experience driving enterprise technology demand
Proven ability to develop programs and tools which map directly to partner/field needs
Experience supporting both direct and indirect sales channels
Strong performer with a proven drive to succeed and guarantee extraordinary success
CRM, specifically SalesForce expertise
Strong organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels, especially the sales organization
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently in changing environments, and the ability/willingness to learn
Experience with onsite execution of partner events
Creative thinker that brings ideas from concept to execution
Self-motivated and a team player
Some travel required 10-25%
