Channel Support Manager Whaleback Systems
Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Channel Support Manager will help drive leads and revenue by creating strong profitable relationships with partners. This role is ideal for the candidate seeking to take their career to the next level. A foundation in lead generation or account management (or direct sales with a more transaction based product or service) will serve this candidate well as he or she begins to really thrive in the Channel Support Manager role. If mastered, this role will ultimately lead to a career in Direct Field Sales.
Responsibilities:
Manage and motivate partners to provide stream of qualified leads. Activities may include, but will not be limited to, regular attendance at the partner sales meetings, ongoing training and support.
Consistently exceed monthly and quarterly objectives with assigned resources by selling directly and jointly with partners.
Accurately identify a qualified lead to convert and track the lead (opportunity) into a closed deal from the local partner. (Lead generation activities will comprise approximately 40 of the role.)
Leverage sales processes by consistent, accurate and timely input into the Salesforce (CRM) system to allow forecasting and management of deal flow.
Execute selling model developed by sales and marketing management via predominantly telephone based activities such as webinars and teleconferences.
Assist in the creation of the forecast for assigned opportunities by month and quarter.
Maintain list of end user reference accounts and look for opportunities within customer base for case studies and press releases.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
3+ years of demonstrated success in selling of telecommunications related services and systems is required.
2+ years of successful channel based selling experience is strongly preferred
All candidates who are to be considered must have some familiarity with carrying quota.
Demonstrated success in a start-up or small company environment
Successful experience in using the Internet as a research and selling tool
Very strong computer, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Strong skills in using and leveraging CRM (Salesforce.com in particular) in sales process
Able to multi-task under demanding and changing priorities
Excellent presentation, objection handling and closing skills a must
Hi-energy, get-it done attitude
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Compensation:
Total annual compensation Salary plus commission based on prior experience.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required.
