Chemical Engineer Auterra
This professional hands-on position will be the liaison between our chemists and production. Working directly with our Engineering Department, Manufacturing Manager and closely with R&D, primary responsibilities will include:Process development engineering for advanced material and chemical products emphasizing process optimization, project cost accounting, safety and productivity.
As a member of the engineering team, assist in the design, planning, testing, building, prototyping, scheduling, roll out, and scale up processes.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to operations on a day-today basis
Identify improvements and develop conceptual scope to support business strategy.
Use of standard industry specific software and modeling tools.
Understand and comply with all EH&S policies and procedures.
Some travel required.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree is required and 5+ years experience in process development of chemical processes for product commercialization.
Broad-based generalist experience in taking a product to market
Ability to work independently and be mechanically inclined.
Experience in modeling and engineering design software.
Strong research and analysis skills are essential.
Ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple activities to meet expectations.
Basic mechanical ability and desire is required.
Creative, detail oriented person with strong communication, organization, and team working skills.
Respect for safety and environmental concerns within the realm of current chemistry and technology.
