Chief Engineer MicroSeismic

Based in Houston, Texas, as a member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Engineers role is to lead a team of engineers the integration and adaptation of microseismic technology into completions and reservoir engineering workflows by providing consulting, interpretation and processing services for MSI clients. The ideal candidate will has extensive completions engineering expertise including designing and executing hydraulic fractures in unconventional reservoirs, modeling completion performance and optimizing well completion design. The individual will be responsible for developing strategy, prioritizing research and development, extensive involvement in marketing of microseismic technology and will be a primary interface with MicroSeismic customers and the oil and gas technical community.

Participate in the planning and implementation of the strategic direction of MSI?s development effort
Drive the development of new technology as it relates to the use of microseismic technology to optimize well completions and field development
Active participation in the recruitment, mentoring, and development of engineering, geophysics and geology staff
Provide subject matter expertise in various meetings with clients, regulators, etc.
Promote and champion MSI?s involvement and participation in relevant industry trade show and professional association meetings and publications (SPE, SEG, EAGE, AAPG, etc.)
Manage and monitor the overall excellence of engineering data and workflows applied to microseismic hydraulic fracture monitoring results and completions optimization
Establish, maintain and update engineering workflows in support of MicroSeismic, Inc.?s commercial analysis and technology development work
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor?s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or closely related engineering discipline) required, Master?s or PhD preferred
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience
Knowledge of and experience with petroleum engineering tools, workflows and application to unconventional resource development and extraction
Expertise in hydraulic fracture modeling and analysis and familiarity with reservoir simulation modeling and workflows
Superior technical leadership and influencing skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment across locations
Demonstrated strong mentoring skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills required
