SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the accounting, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a true business partner to the CEO and the executive management team, help lead and manage the overall strategy to ensure Volusion is positioned to best capitalize on growth opportunities and exploring an IPO
Lead the engagement with funding sources and potential investors which include, but are not limited to, private equity firms and investment banks
Assess Volusion?s financial, accounting, and control systems and processes in light of a potential IPO in the post JOBS Act 2012 environment and direct the implementation of identified enhancements; oversee the migration to an appropriate ERP
Drive the opportunity evaluation, valuation, and deal structure for Volusion?s acquisition activity
Lead the long-term, annual planning activities and cost management initiatives in alignment with Volusion?s strategic plan
Ensure department annual plans and quarterly initiatives align with overall strategic plan; manage the capital and departmental quarterly budgeting processes and forecasts
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and help develop the strategy for international growth
Manage the accounting close process and timely publish monthly financial reporting that ensures Balance Sheet and Profit &Loss statements are in compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Ensure monthly department operations reviews are performed and include a review against quarterly objectives, an analysis of business performance, and a budget review of forecast to actuals
Provide all aspects of business decision support through in-depth analysis and recommendations for the various business initiatives (e.g. opening new operations, asset acquisition, launching of new services)
Responsible for managing cash flow, cash forecasts, and publishing weekly and monthly cash reports
Understand key elements of company?s risk profile and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategy which includes maintaining appropriate insurance coverage
Determine Volusion?s tax strategy and ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Coordinate interaction with board, financial partners/financial institutions, investors, accountants, auditors, public officials, etc. in a positive and outgoing manner
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
A master?s degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent business experience combined with a CPA, BS or BBA
Five+ years experience as CFO, preferably in a SaaS organization with revenues of at least $75 million
Direct experience as CFO taking a tech company public within the last 5 years
Proven track record of raising capital
