Iora Health is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in its Cambridge, MA office. Reporting jointly to the CEO and COO, the CFO will provide leadership to the company in building and managing an effective finance team, will offer analytic support and insight to the company?s ongoing operational and businesses development planning, will serve as a critical link to the company?s Board of Directors with regard to financial reporting and performance, will play a significant role in future capital raising efforts, and will play a key role in creating the development of processes & systems that support rapid scaling of a highly decentralized organization.
Specific responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer
Build Financial Capabilities to Support Scale: As company operations grow 50-100% annually, bring leadership to strategic financing, sponsor contract design/development, pricing strategy and joint venture structuring; ensure legal, regulatory and governance compliance across decentralized, multi-state organization; build appropriate Finance team to serve company well at all stages of growth.
Financial and Accounting: Coordinate activities of external accounting firm; identify tax issues; oversee audit and financial statement presentation; manage key financial processes including: cash flow management and banking, corporate credit cards, A/P, purchasing and A/R; payroll, capital asset management, employee expenses, etc.
Create and Deliver High Quality Management Reporting: Prepare, analyze and present monthly financial statements to management team and Board of Directors; prepare annual budget; identify and manage federal and state reporting requirements of Iora Health and affiliated organizations.
Implement Effective Systems: Identify, implement and oversee the continuous improvement of corporate accounting processes, controls and systems in national and local offices.
Provide Strategic Leadership & Insight: Bring insight and creativity to analysis of company operations, financing and other issues of scalability (leases, vendor relationships & procurement, sources of capital, etc.). Work closely with Executive Team colleagues and senior operating leaders, as well as cultivate strong relationships with current and future investors.
Other: Manage banking, 401k, insurance and other key service relationships, representing the company?s interests; work with CTO and COO to ensure backup and storage of financial documentation required for future tax, audit and financial review; work with other senior leaders to establish and define policies regarding payroll, benefits, PTO, other employment issues and compliance with state business requirements.
