Chief Product Officer Switchfly
The Chief Product Officer (CPO) will be responsible for delivering industry leading ecommerce experience across a range of new product lines. Based in San Francisco, CA, this key member of the Switchfly executive team will oversee a select team of product management and technology resources charged with delivering new product features across the diverse set of Switchfly, and potentially new, clients. This role directly oversees product innovation, new product introduction (NPI) process as well as product management/pricing for all new products across all verticals.
The right candidate will combine an in depth understanding of NPI process, product management techniques, go to market discipline and ecommerce best practices with travel and/or financial services industry experience. To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of conceptualizing, vetting and monetizing products. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the strategic skill-set to chart the product roadmap course for the company to new and additional meaningful product revenues within a 2-year timeline.
Core
Own the revenue and cost for top-line growth across product verticals.
Manage a team responsible for the entire product development lifecycle, from voice of the customer (VOC) to product requirements to an agile based development process to adoption by the Switchfly client base.
Identify, define, prioritize and launch a product roadmap by balancing the needs of the end customer and client base with key revenue drivers for Switchfly.
Work cross-functionally across analytics, account managers and developers to deliver high performing and well adopted revenue generating products.
Interact comfortably with a geographically diverse set of customers on a global basis.
Functional
Understand the competitive landscape and communicate with market analysts and influencers
Comprehensive knowledge of community architecture, such as scalability, billing, monetization, virality, analytics and social integration.
Product innovator; able to develop and articulate a strategic product vision beyond incremental feature enhancements to stand alone projectable revenues.
Take a variety of product ideas throughout the organization and lead the company on the future direction of the platform and new product innovation keeping pace with market demands, new technology advancements and leading-edge functionality.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis that identifies areas to improve product performance and flexibility.
Train and educate Switchfly?s SAM, CRA and Implementation teams on the value of new features to the marketplace.
Responsible for and owns budget development, team requests and resources to deliver strategic product revenue roadmap.
Technical
A strong technical underpinning with the ability to work as colleague and counterpart to design and engineering leaders.
Comfortable leading a rapid iterative development process.
Quantitative and analytical; can use metrics to predict/influence user behavior and drive product feature decisions.
Extensive knowledge of product management best practices including tracking of key performance indicators, usability testing, agile based product management and more.
Knowledge of travel industry connections, distribution requirements, technical certifications, on and offline, preferred.

Base Requirements
Extensive knowledge of product management best practices including tracking of key performance indicators, usability testing, agile based product management and more.
Travel industry experience at an online travel agency, SAAS or enterprise B2B company a plus.
Passion to deliver best in class ecommerce products.
Must be self-motivated and team-oriented leader with experience managing large departments.
10+ years of experience leading product management organizations.
College degree required, advanced degree strongly preferred.
