Chief Scientist Razorsight
Job Description:
Razorsight is looking for a senior executive to be the visionary in driving Advanced Analytics products. The business unit leader will lead the design, development, sales and delivery of Advanced Analytics Solutions and Products. The executive will recruit and manage a team of on-shore (U.S.) and offshore resources in support of these solutions.
The Chief Scientist, Advanced Analytics is a senior leader with portfolio level responsibility for the product strategy, product management and market success of Razorsight?s Advanced Analytic solutions. This person is a key contributor to achieving the company?s near term and long-term objectives. The Chief Scientist works closely with other members of the executive team including the CEO to deliver product solutions that will be highly successful in the marketplace.
The Chief Scientist, Advanced Analytics leads the product management team and retains responsibility for the product lifecycle of Razorsight?s Advanced Analytics products. This role requires strategic thinking, solid business acumen, and a passion for driving cross-functional execution to ensure overall product performance against key metrics.
This role drives the overall product direction and management within the Advanced Analytics Group including:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the executive will work closely with the Sales and Finance to drive marketing, pricing and customer acquisition strategies
Design a suite of Advanced Analytics Solutions, delivery and support methodologies as well as the Go to Market Strategy for Global Communications, Media and Entertainment companies
Deliver Advanced Analytics to a blue chip list of existing customers including Verizon, Accenture, Comcast,ATT, IBM, Time Warner and Telus
The executive will have full P&L responsibility
Leading the product vision and strategy development process, including Product Roadmap development and annual review process
Performing market research, market validation and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for existing and new products
Fostering close relationships with all key market constituents (customers, non-customers, analyst and competitors) to validate Razorsight?s product strategy and roadmap
Understanding the thorough business case for proposed products and initiatives, includingcost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis,industry best practices and product development timelines
Planning, prioritizing and managing the product features and requirements from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial and corporate objectives
Collaborating with the CEO and Engineering teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in product delivery on time, on budget
Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies, plans and activities are aligned with the company?s business drivers

Product Management Acumen:
The candidate will have demonstrated their ability to refine and deliver a long-term product strategy as well as the ability to elaborate and deliver on a product roadmap, as well as adapt product specifications to successfully address the targeted market requirements. The finalist for this role will show a strong business sense and ability to grasp customer?s needs and expectations. Given the broad-based product managementresponsibilities this individual will assume, strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives will be critical. The right candidate for this role will be able to articulate their track record in product innovation and market definition.
Professional Experience:
The Chief Scientist, Advanced Analytics will be a seasoned executive with tremendous drive, intelligence and capability. He/She will be highly motivated and have the ability and desire to have real impact across the organization. The successful candidate will be a multi-dimensional thinker who operates not only on the basis of important past experiences, but in light of new approaches and developments that occur in the market. He/she will have demonstrated an ability to build effective teams and consistently drive profitable results in high growth/entrepreneurial environments, including a proven track record of building organizations
Skills and Experience:
The candidate should have 10+ years of senior management experience in software/services, offering solutions in the Service Provider marketplace. The ideal candidate will have President/COO experience at a small company or VP level or above at a larger firm.

Education and Certifications:
An undergraduate degree in business, electrical engineering, or computer science is required. An MBA is highly preferred.
