Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization will serve nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community?s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems.
We are seeking Chief Technologist's for our West Thunderbird (Peoria, AZ), Fountains (Glendale, AZ), Camelback, and Thomas Road (both in Phoenix, AZ) centers.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides leadership and management to technical services, assures that services are provided within professional standards. Operates appropriate scanners to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Champions the values and builds the culture to support the goals of the company while fostering an environment where customer service is a priority
? Performs routine and advanced CT and/or x-ray procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
? Explains and prepares patients for procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout the procedure
? Oversees and assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
? Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned vacations and time off
? Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and team
? Accurately maintains patient records within FusionRIS system
? Maintains equipment
? Produces diagnostic images in assigned area and perform quality control tasks as assigned
? Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
? Promotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors and other company personnel
? Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company
? Manages overall staffing levels for adequate modality coverage at all times
? Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or termination of associates
? Assists in staff planning and hiring process along with management
? Leads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones
? Ensures compliance with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and tracking of safety and licensing-related items
? Keeps manager well informed of status of assignments. Responds to requests and leadership of manager. Helps manager gain support for unit goals and plans
? Assists in marketing services to referring physicians
? Remains self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve

? Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of MRI scanning procedures
? Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
? Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
? ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
? Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
? Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
? Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently
? Advanced modality certification or pass certification exam in appropriate modality within 12 months
? Ability to speak Spanish or bilingual is a plus
? Previous supervisory experience preferred
