Chief Technology Officer

The Chief Technology Officer serves as a member of the Senior Executive team and is responsible for overseeing all product and technology aspects of the company including product management, software development and information systems.This position is responsible for developing products from conception to production and providing leadership for a team engaged in the creation, development, design, specification and improvement of technology applications and platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serves as a member of the senior executive team and participates in the strategic planning process for the company.Establishes both short term and long term product and technology strategies that drive innovation and further solidify the companys position in the market place.
2. Provides leadership in a fashion that supports the companys culture, mission and values and develops a world class product and software development organization. Attracts, retains and trains A players and removes underperformers.
3. Directs a staff of supervisory, professional and support personnel engaged in providing outstanding support to both internal and external customers in a 24x7 business environment.Promotes and reinforces a customer driven philosophy within a service organization.
4. Oversees the design and execution of the companys product roadmap.
5. Continuously drives internal business optimization, automation, efficiency and scalability.
6. Provides overall leadership in the development of software applications and technology platforms and delivers robust solutions that drive innovation and customer delight.
7. Provides expertise and leadership in determining appropriate infrastructure systems and applications to support business needs while delivering to performance and reliability expectations.
8. Oversees companys systems data and ensures security and compliance with all legal and contractual obligations
9. Develops strategic relationships with external partners and manages third party vendors to ensure budget and deliverables are within estimate and scope.
10. Demonstrated ability to effectively translate complex technology information to a non-technical audience.
11. Develops and executes against budget.
12. Oversees the development and adherence to of all technology related policies and procedures.
13. Works effectively and collaboratively with other key executives and the Board of Directors.
14. Establishes and utilizes performance based metrics and accountability throughout the organization.
15. Assists with the due diligence of target acquisitions.Leads the integration of technology related software applications and technology platforms associated with acquisitions while driving business synergies.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
1. 10+ years in progressively responsible software and product development leadership roles including 5+ years in senior leadership positions.
2. Bachelors Degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA a plus.
3. Superior leadership skills and a proven track record of leading high performing development teams that have successfully delivered innovative technology solutions.
4. Strategic thinker constantly looking for opportunities to drive performance and growth.
5. Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully deliver a GA software solution to market.
6. Past experience in the development of software products for external license purposes.
7. Strong agile development experience.
8. Experience (i) evaluating disparate technology platforms, (ii) understanding the business needs, (iii) developing a technology strategy to meet the business needs and (iv) executing effectively and efficiently on the strategy, which strategy would include migrating to fewer, more robust platforms to support the business.
9. International experience and experience managing a team in multiple locations around the world.
10. Demonstrated ability to effectively translate complex technology information to a non-technical audience.
11. Demonstrated success of partnering with all areas/levels of the organization.
