Reports to: Engineering Director, Manufacturing
General Purpose/Objective:
This position is primarily responsible for performing the design and implementation of
coating processes, instrumentation and equipment. It will provide expertise in ChromaLit
engineering, design and process control, and assisting the manufacturing operation in
problem solving with regards to equipment and systems. Also responsible for
developing and implementing new products and technologies into the ChromaLit family
to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality, reliability and capacity by
performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Works with Product Development to ensure substantial product specifications
and processes are released to manufacturing.
? Ensures design for manufacturability is performed on all new product
development efforts.
? Establishes best-in-class manufacturing processes through research of process
engineering techniques and continuous improvement of existing process
technologies.
? Establishes top level processes for function and oversees documentation of all
operational procedures therein.
? Process qualification / validation through statistical process control techniques
and Lean manufacturing principals
? Ensures ISO compliant manufacturing documentation and controls are
established and maintained.
? Establishes and maintains methods for and oversees or performs calibration and
maintenance for all manufacturing and test equipment.
? Handles the Technical Interface with suppliers.
Required Qualifications:
? Bachelor Degree. A major in engineering or science strongly preferred.
? 2+ years? experience in process engineering or similar industry.
? Thorough understanding of coating technologies as applied to different substrate
types.
? Use of continuous improvement, quality tools and statistical process control
methodologies.
? Good communications skills, both written and verbal.? Proficient in Microsft Excel or similar and familiar with Microsoft Office
