CIGSS Photovoltaic (PV) Panel Product Engineer Stion
The successful candidate will have experience in the product development, manufacturing implementation, and optimization of CIGSS-based (or similar) solar cells and panels. This position provides extensive hands on technical process support in a volume manufacturing environment. A blend of strong technical skills and an ability to lead projects and people are highly valued. This is a fast-paced start-up environment that is rapidly growing with customer demand.
Primary responsibilities and Essential Functions:
As an Engineer with primary responsible for Absorber Formation Processes you will specify, test, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, monitors and controls on the volume production line. Specifically, you will oversee one or more processes involved in forming the PV cell stack, including top and bottom contacts, absorber and emitter layers and interconnect formation.
Evaluate circuit and module performance against expectations. Identify and drive corrective action of root causes for deviations from baseline.
Optimize individual process steps to maximize product performance and meet continually increasing product performance metrics.
Establish suitable qualification processes, monitors, and statistical process controls to ensure process stability.
Conduct necessary and effective experiments on the manufacturing line to establish process windows for each manufacturing step and set appropriate specifications for each step.
Create, update, and release documentation appropriate to define process recipes and methodologies for volume and experimental production.
Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards

Qualification Requirements (Knowledge Skills, Abilities, Experience, Training, Education):
Bachelor?s degree in an Engineering discipline required (other four year technical degrees considered with suitable experience). Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in semiconductor processes such as high temperature diffusion, PVD, and MOCVD.
Strong analytical skills required. SPC implementation, training and deployment experience a plus.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis software such asJMP or Mini-Tab a must.
Experienced in processing with and management of hazardous materials and gases.
Six Sigma or SPC Training Certification desired
