DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for correcting the designs and/or ordering of any Integra products to support repair trouble shooting efforts. Facilitates the correction of designs and interfaces with LEC?s and CLEC?s as needed, also performs complex and diverse circuit design activities related to grooming the network; may involve project management for complex roll orders and/or cost savings initiatives. Demonstrate competent performance in the completion of entry level to complex provisioning duties, utilizing all available automated and manual tools.
?Reviews designs for completeness and technical correctness.
?Orders moderate to complex circuits which may include IMA, QORA, VFO, AT&T, SBC, etc. MSS, and manual forms.
?Ownership of projects related to Cost Savings, Capacity and repair initiatives.
?Maintains customer records accurately in the database
?Enter and update orders as necessary in ICC, MSS and LEC/CLEC systems; track assigned orders
?Participates in the development and implementation of circuit provisioning standards and procedures.
?Support repair with by cleaning up designs and placing orders to vendors for changes and loop replacement.
?Inner- personal and communications skills sufficient to provide work direction and training
?Assist in the training and mentoring of less senior Circuit Designers-Special Projects.
RequirementsMUST HAVE:
?1+ year of telecommunications circuit provisioning experience and 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry (voice or data)
?Intermediate knowledge of telephony, including understanding of basic bandwidth and service levels of DS0, DS1 and DS3 circuits.
?Project Coordination/Management experience
PREFERRED:
? Telecom certification or Associates degree in business or a related field.
?Technical background; switch, data, network etc..
