Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides general oversight of claims handling services for clients
Provides oversight management of claims vendors through process mapping, program development, claims reviews, quality audits and other claims-related projects
Investigates out of guidelines inquiries, and ensures compliance to procedures, proper services and settlement of claims
Supervise claims staff
Perform claim reviews and quality audits based on established guidelines
Report metrics, and assist in developing and establishing policies and procedures
Run required monthly reporting as assigned for each Program
Create, generate and provide ad-hoc system claims activity reports as needed
Assist clients in identifying needs and trends and develops and implements solutions to manage claims costs and achieve risk management goals
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelors Degree in Risk Management or other business related field
5-10 years experience managing claims function
CPCU, ARM or CIC designation
Licensed in required states
Expert in technical claims procedures and best practices
Competency in all lines of coverage
Ability to effectively build and manage a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent logical-thinking and analytic skills
Organization, time management and prioritization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
