MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews position descriptions, and revising or creates positions descriptions for each occupation and level in a phased, sequenced approach while consulting with the client
Standardize titles, clean up in system, develop and implement a PD library, provide OJT to junior human resource specialist to increase classification bench strength. Evaluate audit results, recommend corrective actions and implement as approved.
Makes recommendations regarding the appropriate position title, series, pay plan, grade and education.
Conducts job analyses and assists managers and subject matter experts.
Consults with managers, supervisors, and/or subject matter experts to identify the major duties and responsibilities of positions.
Identifies selective factors for recruitment purposes and prepare an appropriate crediting plan and/or questions for automated systems for rating and ranking candidates.
Prepares draft position descriptions for review by the client.
Interviews supervisors and employees regarding their positions, conduct desk audits, and prepare written evaluation statements in narrative format as part of this task.
Conducts studies of positions or groups of positions, and/or review reorganization packages and provide comments and recommendations to management.
Bachelor's degree+6 years' experience, or 10 years' experience without bachelors
Must have knowledge and experience in reviewing occupational and grade level positions; conducting job analyses and experience identifying selective factors for recruitment purposes and prepare an appropriate crediting plan and /or questions for automated systems for rating and ranking candidates
Must be a U.S. Citizen
