PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Manager of Consulting Team (Professional Services Organization), this position will be managing customer projects involving cross-functional teams. This position will work closely with customers and members of sales, engineering, as well as with all levels of management within the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to define, manage, and deliver high visibility projects in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
Facilitate requirements discovery and elaboration sessions in support of software delivery projects.
Assist PSO technical leads in estimating level of effort to implement project's tasks and creating project plans for execution to delivery.
Assist account executives in creating project proposals
Engage customers throughout all levels of the organization and help to ensure the Netformx team meets or exceeds customer expectations
Assist account executives in identifying new opportunities within existing customer accounts
Contribute to the growth of Netformx through best practices, methodology, industry/technology trends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A strong candidate will have a solid experience with Telecom technology and project management and possess a strong written and verbal communication skills as well as superb skills in business analysis, capacity planning, project/program management, processes, and change management. This individual must be able to handle a number of simultaneous projects, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive project to completion, and be successful in a collaborative environment. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Planning and conducting project meetings (in person or via web conference);
Defining project scope; facilitating technical / operational / functional requirements and definition for product initiatives;
Developing detailed baseline project plans;
Tracking/managing projects to successful completion;
Must have ability to organize and develop implementation strategy and roadmap for large and complex business and technology initiatives.
Work with project leads, managers, and other stakeholders to define milestones, establish schedules, and allocate tasks
Communicate project status, issues and risks to cross-department and cross-company.; providing leadership to cross-functional project teams, and maintaining project documentation
Prepare presentations, project documentation, and reports
Establish and follow project development procedures
The ability to work with various groups of different skill sets ranging from business to technical and facilitate communication between them
The ability to manage dynamic and diverse individuals
An understanding of software application development life cycle processes and the fundamentals of software technology
The ability to review project objectives and translate them into detailed tasks to be executed on
The ability to track tasks from conception to implementation
The ability to assign goals and maintain accountability
The ability to bring structure to information so that it can be clearly understood, communicated, and acted upon
The ability to bring structure to situations so that tasks can be identified, plans made and schedule(s) established
The ability to understand the goals of a project, necessary tasks, interactions between groups and establish processes as needed to meet the goals
Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with project team members, management, and 3rd parties.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 1 week duration.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required (e.g., business, computer science, engineering, math, etc.); advanced degree is a plus
Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in software requirements analysis / project management required;
Consultancy experience recommended (i.e., consulting to external customers)
Experience in developing relationships at all levels of customer organizations
Experience with meeting facilitation, presentation creation and delivery
Experience with desktop software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Google Docs, etc.) and other project-based tools (e.g., wikis, source control, bug tracking, etc.)
Experience working with offshore software development teams is a plus.
