The Role
The CSM works with the sales executive to create and implement technical account strategies, develop innovative solutions and overcome technical obstacles to turn prospects into customers. You will be responsible for the solution delivery and will manage the customer through implementation, and continue to work with them on an account team. For this job, you'll bring extensive solid software development background and detailed knowledge of web and Internet technologies. You also enjoy working with people and technology more than working with your head down in product development. As such, you have both the ability to interact with engineering teams as well as excellent relationship-building and communication skills. This role is critical to the success of our customers and to Mashery. Our experience has been that the CSM becomes one of our customer?s favorite people because of the positive technical/customer support they provide. This position may require you to travel up to 25% of the time.
Experience/Skills Required:
5 + years in a Professional Services, Presales Engineering, implementation, or customer service role with experience in a customer-facing role.
Exceptional customer and project management skills with the ability to multi-task , ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, including C-level executives, sales, and technical staff.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve complex technical issues.
Solid understanding of shared hosting environments and SSL certificates.
Preferred experience working with a SaaS offering. Conversant in common HTTP Web Services protocols, including XML-RPC, SOAP and REST, and the pros and cons of each.
Experience as a Solutions Architect for web/integration platforms a plus
Experience with enterprise middleware/integration platforms a plus
B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
