Description:The Client Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for the administration and documentation of Company's local and wide area network and systems. This position will also be responsible for installing, managing, and upgrading the Company?s operating system, and performing overall network maintenance including installing and configuring applications, creating users, and reviewing security measures. The Client Technology Support Specialist will also perform helpdesk duties and troubleshoot any network or server issues that may arise and will communicate to the end-user of resolutions to such issues.
?Install, configure, and maintain workstations, servers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; add or upgrade and configure computer components, disk drives, data acquisition devices, printers, phones and related equipment.
?Perform system backups on internal and external network servers.
?Maintain the organization?s phone and voice mail systems
?Perform software and application installations and upgrades; maintain site licenses for department/organization.
?Support internal customers at all Company locations with technical assistance, basic network connectivity, equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
?Maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems group.
?Maintain and troubleshoot existing PCs and peripherals throughout the company?s network including servers and client desktops.
?Provide service and support for all IT equipment to include personal computers and all hardware and software used for business purposes.
?Support all employees and respond to all incidents in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner.
?Assist with the support, planning and implementation of network security, including firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, and file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
?Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
?Conduct various training and instruction for system users on specific operating systems, and applications in use in the department/organization; assists users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
?Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
?Demonstrated knowledge of a range of computer networking systems and languages.
?Ability to administer large and complex computer networks.
?Excellent effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Able to interact with various levels of employees throughout the organization and able to relay non technical information effectively.
?Excellent customer service skills and focus. Builds trusting relationships by following up with internal customers on a regular basis while working on technical issues.
?Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.
?Knowledge of federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software.
? Associates degree or BS in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
?2 years experience in the Microsoft Mail/Exchange environment;
?3-5 years experience administering corporate networks.
?Microsoft Windows system certification or equivalent experience preferred
?Experience with networks in multiple locations a plus.
Required: iOS ? iPads/iPhone, Mobile device management, client device deployment management, AntiVirus management, Network/facilities cabling, WiFi configuration, HP, Motororola, Lenovo equipment familiarity.
?Microsoft Certification required
?In depth experience with Windows 2000 / 2003 and Windows XP operating systems.
?Experience with Microsoft Outlook 2000/ 2003
?Experience with Microsoft Office 2000/ 2003
?Strong understanding of the TCP/IP communication protocol (WINS, DNS, DHCP)
?Understanding of Windows 2000 networking and Active Directory Domain architecture.
?Strong understanding of PC hardware and laptop architecture
?Basic Exchange 2003 server experience (mailbox and account creation)
