About The Position
As a Clinical Developer, you will be responsible for the creation of simulation-based training courses for quality initiatives that we sell to the healthcare provider market. You will be the liaison between the client and the internal MSC teams who develop and deliver the training ? the engineers, the artists, the field trainers and the marketing staff. You will manage the project through the following stages:
gathering the requirements for content, engineering and courseware
adjusting the features as the simulation is created to make sure it is medically accurate
testing the simulation to ensure it meets our quality standards, and rolling out the training program to our field educators to make sure the training is delivered successfully.
In doing this, you will help create the content used to educate thousands of medical professionals worldwide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Research and evaluate potential simulation products and revise existing course offerings as necessary to ensure current state of information.
Collaborate with Marketing and all members of the development team to identify cutting edge Quality Initiative training solutions.
Initiate and develop courses targeting Quality improvement initiatives and improved patient outcomes
Initiate and maintain ongoing development of Continuing Education course approval alliances with accrediting bodies.
Facilitate development requirements meetings in coordination with customer and internal development resources.
Provide detailed simulation storyboards outlining specific simulation script of development project.
Continuously communicate customer requirements to MSC development team to set goals, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Facilitate ongoing meetings with customer (if external) to review development progress and adjust priorities as needed (typically every 2-4 weeks).
Program simulations or direct others in simulation programming and testing of new or revised simulation scenarios.
Provide ongoing testing of hardware and software during the development phase to identify issues and work towards resolution while staying on task and meeting goals/timelines.
Work alongside the Field Education Trainer to develop training documentation for designated MSC or customer trainers.
Collaborate with Marketing and Logistics teams on distribution of the training and provide training to designated MSC clinical or customer staff while providing ongoing support.
Represent MSC and its customers at trade shows, conferences and training courses.
Participate in collaborative efforts to conceptualize new, forward-thinking initiatives to enhance Quality initiative programs.
Required Experience and Skills
Ideal candidate has BSN or MSN with 5+ years of experience in critical care
Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to gain understanding of complex content and effectively communicate that information to non-medical teammates
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Attention to detail
Ability to travel, up to 25%, possibly including international travel

Prior experience with medical simulation scenarios
Laredal SimMan programming
Clinical education or training experience
Adult learning theory experience
Project management experience
