Description
Perform all phases of testing with accuracy and precision.
Utilize the LIS for accessioning, creation of work lists, entering and approving results, and other reports as they are developed.
Perform quality control and Quality Assessment activities according to protocols.
Perform proficiency testing within CLIA and California Laboratory Field Services guidelines.
Clean and decontaminate work areas daily.
Assist writing validation protocols and reports, and perform all validation assays.
Write standard operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current California CLS license, ASCP preferred.
One year (for CLS I) or four years (for CLS II) minimum experience in a clinical laboratory as licensed CLS.
Demonstrate skills in areas of quality control, maintenance of equipment, and Quality Assessment functions.
Excellent communication skills, ability to understand and communicate technical scientific information to a wide range of audiences.
Comfortable in a highly automated, busy, and service-oriented laboratory.
Flexibility of work schedule to meet the needs of the Clinical Laboratory.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Commitment to quality.
Flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities.
Enthusiasm, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, an ability to think out of the box, and a keen ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced, highly-productive environment.
