Duties & Responsibilities- Clinical Oncology Specialist:
Prospecting, lead generation, follow-up and professional presentation of complex scientific materials
Use of peer-to-peer selling via speaker programs, invitations to tumor board and coordination with local, regional, and national thought-leaders
Management of large and varied territory
Ability to exceed aggressive sales quota
New account sales to Oncologic specialists in a broad geographic territory
Initial concentration on Gynecologic Oncologists (70 of selling effort)
Concurrent effort with Surgical Oncologists and niche cancer surgeons/clinicians (30 of selling effort)
Relationship-building with pathology department, institutions/hospitals and PTI internal constituents
Qualifications:
Education:
Undergraduate degree required.
Marketing or science major preferred
Masters degree preferred.
Experience:
5-7 years sales to oncologists and/or surgical oncologists required
8+ years experience preferred
Demonstrated consistent over-achievement against quota required
Preferred specific experience calling on Gynecologic Oncologists and/or Surgical Oncologists
Comfortable in presenting decision support tools to both clinicians and surgeons
Knowledge of laboratory testing and reimbursement
Required Skills:
Organized and motivated
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Well-developed and effective communication skills: phone, email, documentation, and in-person.
Passion for personalized medicine in the field of cancer
Ability to travel extensively within territory
Proven quota buster.
