Bioptigen is seeking a motivated, experienced, and successful Ophthalmic Imaging Sales Specialist to promote the Bioptigen Envisu? C-Series Spectral Domain Ophthalmic Imaging Systems. The qualified individual will be responsible for attaining growth in the sales of innovative optical coherence tomography imaging systems to the pediatric and perioperative ophthalmology market. The successful candidate will be skilled in developing high integrity relationships with a sophisticated customer base, communicating clearly the value proposition for handheld OCT in pediatric and perioperative environments, and presenting solutions that accurately reflect the needs of the user. The Sales Specialist will be expected to develop world-class expertise in the product and applications, and will be accountable for attaining annual sales targets through the application of professional sales skills from lead development, through technical qualification, to closed sales contracts.

Typical Duties:
Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation of the following:
Manage all phases of the sales process from lead development to close
Qualify customers based on product fit to clinical and research objectives and financial resources
Assist customer in understanding the applications of the technology and product
Schedule, conduct, and own logistics for in-service product demonstrations
Identify and address any barriers to technical decisions and procurement processes
Assist prospective customers with financing and payment options
Support rapid consensus among technical and financial teams within each account
Communicate sales opportunities internally through a company approved contact management system including accurate customer information, sales pipeline, and monthly forecast
Attend trade shows, and assist with all associated logistics
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Representing the company with the highest level of integrity and credibility
Attaining an annual sales goal
Organizing and performing in-service product demonstrations in clinical and hospital environments
Completion of sales proposals, bids, and contracts
Application of professional sales skills to communicate the Bioptigen product value proposition
Developing sales plans and managing sales pipeline for accurate short-term and near-term forecasts
Regular and accurate reporting of sales activities
Maintaining registration with Reptrax and similar healthcare workplace compliance requirements
Experience:
4+ years of sales experience in ophthalmic imaging instrumentation
Proven sales performance and achievement of sales goals throughout career
Sales of highly technical diagnostic equipment where both hardware and software contribute to the product?s differential advantages
Other helpful functional experience in support of highly technical clinical equipment as:
Technical sales support engineer
Ophthalmic photographer or imaging technician
Clinical researcher
Education:
BA or BS ? GPA 3.25 or higher
Advanced scientific or business degree is a plus
Required Skills:
Hands on with state-of-the art imaging systems
Comfort and facility with computers and information technology
High skills in standard business software ? Word processing, spreadsheets, contact management, CRM, email, internet, image management and transfer, presentation, etc.
Verbal and Presentation skills
Exceptional 1:1 communication skills
Ability to present directly to groups large and small
Use of presentation software like PowerPoint
Ability to present via internet based tools like GoToMeeting or Webex
Exceptional presentation organization and delivery
High technical/clinical competence and interpersonal integrity and credibility

Proposals to customers involving answers to their concerns, objections and queries.
Quotes and other contractual proposals
Knowledgeable of ophthalmology and ophthalmology market and clinical research protocols
