Description:The Clinical Product Specialist is responsible for the daily clinical application / product account management activities in support of the sales account executives in the West Coast territories.
This position offers remote opportunity.
These activities include product implementation, maximizing product functionality (including new features), cross-selling additional product lines and responding to questions and issues from the client and/or internal Passport departments (e.g., Marketing, Product Development).
Duties:?Add-on and Specialty Sales ? 70%
oSales support -- includes facilitation of contract negotiations, product implementation and training
oCross-sell additional product lines
oRFP participation
oTradeshow participation for lead generation, networking, product demos, etc.
oPost implementation and training interviews
oCoordination of site visits ? as needed
?Client Relations ? 20%
oUser Group Leadership ? in conjunction with Marketing. Includes managing client input to various operational areas (e.g., new product development, existing product functionality, customer support, sales & marketing) through annual regional meetings and ongoing communications
oContinuing Education ? facilitate ongoing training and education through webinars or on-site visits
oLost account management
oResponse to client questions and issues
?Client Satisfaction ? 10%
oAnnual product surveys ? in conjunction with Marketing
oReview of support databases ? monitor and report on utilization rates and activity logs with appropriate databases (CTS, GM, Client Admin)
oClient Referral Network ? in conjunction with Marketing
Other Duties as Required.
Qualifications:?Bachelor?s Degree in related field required.
?3-5 years experience directly related to clinical data management or clinical research
?Experience in Account Management, Customer Service or related field
?In-depth understanding of sales cycle, including qualifying prospect leads, identifying prospect needs, conducting product demonstrations, and relationship development
?Strong written and verbal communication skills
?Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact with various prospect administration levels, including Director and VP level and internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support)
?Ability to manage multiple clients and multiple projects simultaneously
?Strong working knowledge of PC-based Internet and Windows applications, as well as contract management system
?Willingness to travel up to 50%
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
?Knowledge and experience to create and manage clinical databases
?Prior project and administrative management experience
?Knowledge of MS SQL Server
?Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Access)
?Knowledge of HIPAA transaction data sets
?Knowledge of beneficiary claim files
?Comprehensive leadership skills, including the ability to coach, mentor and train staff
