Job Description
The Clinical Services Manager assists in the creation, implementation and maintenance of areas within clinical services inclusive of but not limited to clinical documentation improvement and case management.
Responsiblities:
Provide support to the Director for the development of client education proposals and contracts
Manage client projects in needed capacities
Lead clinical services teamsensure accuracy and compliance in all consulting efforts with the client
Generate accurate reports utilizing Microsoft Word and/or Power Point for the client upon the close of each phase of an engagement
Conduct research needed to prepare client education
Develop education materials related to client needs
Deliver education to clients, both on site and through webcast medium
May be required to mentor other colleagues
Utilizes a laptop computer in a virtual office, windows-based environment.
Utilizes various coding books, procedure manuals and on-line encoders as a resource.
Must be customer-service focused and exhibit professionalism, flexibility, dependability, desire to learn, commitment to excellence and the profession.
Maintains strict patient and physician confidentiality and follows all federal, state and hospital guidelines for release of information.
Participates in staff meetings, trainings and conference calls as requested
Maintains current working knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding principles, government regulation, protocols and third party requirements regarding billing.
Supports Precyse's Compliance Program by demonstrating adherence to all relevant compliance policies and procedures as evidenced by in-service attendance and daily practice; notifying management when there is a compliance concern or incident; demonstrating knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations as evidenced by appropriate handling of patient information; promoting confidentiality and using discretion when handling patient information.

Requirements:
RN, LPN, RHIA or RHIT, and CCS
Associates degree in relevant field preferred or combination of equivalent of education and experience.
Be knowledgeable and capable to apply and incorporate coding and clinical concepts into all phases of the development, instruction and communication of the clinical services
Have strong organizational, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Be able to communicate with physicians and senior leadership in hospitals effectively
Have s working knowledge of clinical analytics, helping clients understand reporting results, developing practical day to day applications/solutions
Have excellent written/verbal communication skills
Three years of clinical documentation improvement experience required
Three years of inpatient case management experience a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 codes
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently.
Computer knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Adobe, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Ability to write reports independent of management review
