Clinical Specialist NeoVista
Position Summary:
The position requires someone currently residing in Western Europe.
Experience working in an ophthalmic operating room environment is preferred.
No relocation package will be offered.
The primary responsibility of the person in this position will be to provide after sales clinical support to all customers that purchase the VIDION product. This will require extensive travel to all markets working directly with distributors, hospitals, physicians, and operating room personnel. Additional duties will include periodic attendance at trade shows and seminars in support of NeoVista, and validating new product ideas with customers and advisors. The person in this position must have a high level of energy and initiative, with proven reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. A high level of teamwork and a collaborative work style are musts.
Education & Experience:
College degree
Experience working in the operating room environment
Very strong customer focus
Excellent speaking skills in order to represent the company throughout the industry
Industry background in the medical device field ophthalmology experience is preferred
The ability to develop and articulate clear and compelling communications
A team player with a proven ability to quickly establish credibility, both internally and externally, through actions and deeds
Travel Time Required:
70 - 80 is possible, especially in the early stages of market penetration. This position will likely entail periodic international travel so the person in this position must have the ability to collect and maintain needed travel documents. Some travel on weekends.
Hours of Work:
Monday through Friday and some weekends.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the medical community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to speak one or more of the following languages is highly desirable: Spanish, Italian, German, French. English is required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
