Based in Los Angeles Stratalux is one of the first managed services companies which is dedicated 100% on cloud computing. Stratalux helps customers capitalize on the growing cloud computing trend in IT. Stratalux is looking for a Senior Cloud Developer/Hands-on CTO candidate to architect and build our cloud management platform. If you are passionate about ?the cloud? then this is the job for you! Responsibilities
As the Senior Cloud Developer for the company you will be responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of Stratalux?s new cloud management platform. As the company?s development head you will be responsible to architect, develop and support this new product line. Your responsibilities will include.
Architect, spec and develop Stratalux?s fledgling cloud management tools. (Details will be provided during the interview process.)
Develop tools to automate the management of customer infrastructures using chef (www.opscode.com), RoR and whatever else we need.
Perform CTO role for company.
Evangelize cloud computing to customers. Perform sales engineering role.
Support Stratalux customer managed infrastructures.
Qualifications
Must be cloud savvy and understand potential of this new platform.
Strong web development background with open-source technologies.
3-5 years of Ruby-on-Rails development.
2+ years of Amazon Web Services development. (Implementing Amazon APIs.)
Linux system administration skills desirable.
Opscode Chef experience very desirable.
Experience managing cloud infrastructures from companies like Amazon, Rackspace Cloud, Azure and GoGrid among others.
Experience with cloud management products like Rightscale very desirable.
Experience with open-source system management and monitoring tools like zenoss, cacti, nagios, ganglia, monin, monit or collectd desirable.
Familiar with and champion of Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Must be an opinionated and creative self-starter.
Education
Bachelor?s degree preferred.
